This edition of Ulysses is part of an open project to make available on every platform optimized versions of the 1922 original.

It's not quite ready for primetime, with various small issues still to be tweaked.

Optimizing the 1922 text means fixing the typos according to Joyce's own notes plus the Gaskell/Hart "Review", plus consensus corrections from all editions.

Optimizing the markup is an ongoing challenge depending on the platform, and balancing the 1922 page-design against current formatting options.

To-do: tidying the stanzas to eliminate skipped lines and turn the asterisks back into italics
